About Biofilm Defense
Cystitis is an inflammation of the mucous membrane of the bladder.
In 80–95% of cases, the cause of cystitis is Escherichia coli (Escherichia coli), which under adverse circumstances penetrates the bladder and causes inflammation (cystitis).
After attaching to the surface of the bladder, the bacteria begin to multiply, their cells connect with each other, forming colonies.
These colonies create a biofilm (a film barrier that protects microorganisms and allows them to resist human immunity and antibacterial drugs).
Therefore, often after completing the course of treatment for cystitis, the destruction of the bacterial infection may be incomplete.
This leads to the transition of the inflammatory process into a chronic form and to repeated exacerbations of the disease.
Therefore, numerous scientific data have confirmed the importance of influencing the biofilm during the treatment of cystitis.
Biofilm Defense contains phytocomponents and enzymes that contribute to the breakdown of the biofilm, increasing the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics and reducing the risks of relapse of chronic cystitis.

Curcumin helps dissolve the biofilm and allow bacteria to escape.
This allows the antibacterial components to reduce the level of E.
coli.
Bioperine® (from black pepper extract) improves the bioavailability of curcumin by 2,000 times.
Proteolytic enzymes (amylase, protease) break down the protein components of the biofilm, which leads to its destruction.
ANTIBACTERIAL EFFECT
D-mannose prevents pathogenic bacteria from attaching to the mucous membrane of the bladder, adsorbs them to its surface and removes them from the body with urine.
Curcumin has a direct antibacterial effect, penetrating the bacterial membrane, disrupting the structure of the bacterial cell and causing its death.
Pear fruit powder helps to increase the antibacterial effect of curcumin.
Olive leaf extract helps to destroy the cell wall of Escherichia coli and causes its death.
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AND REGENERATIVE ACTIONS
Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, promoting the regeneration of cells of the mucous membrane of the urogenital tract.
Phytoestrogens (soybean extract) contribute to the restoration of the structure and functions of the mucous membranes, especially in cases of estrogen deficiency.
